Can't start Eclipse - Java was started but returned exit code=13

I am trying to get my first taste of Android development using Eclipse. I ran into this problem when trying to run Eclipse, having installed version 4.2 only minutes ago.

I tried the following solution:

I created a shortcut of javaw.exe from path C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_71\bin and pasted it into the path C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath.

After that, I launched Eclipse, and it worked for me.
