You can also set the host (to expose it on a network facing IP address) and port via environment variables.

$ export FLASK_APP=app.py
$ export FLASK_ENV=development
$ export FLASK_RUN_PORT=8000
$ export FLASK_RUN_HOST=0.0.0.0

$ flask run
 * Serving Flask app "app.py" (lazy loading)
 * Environment: development
