You can try this : iterate on each file and subdirectory :

public void Recurse(DirectoryInfo directory)
{
    foreach (FileInfo fi in directory.GetFiles())
    {
        fi.IsReadOnly = false; // or true
    }

    foreach (DirectoryInfo subdir in directory.GetDirectories())
    {
        Recurse(subdir);
    }
}
