Yes, you can develop SharePoint Workflows, WebParts, etc. in a multi-developer environment without any hacks. I suggest you use

• a MOSS 2007 VPC Image
• Ankhsvn to use svn inside Visual Studio
• and also the WSPBuilder Extensions
