I am trying to install mongodb on my Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, but it has the following error saying
You might want to run \'apt --fix-broken install\' to correct
For me on Pop_OS Linux 20.04 LTS helped:
$ sudo apt-get purge mongodb*
Then creating /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mongodb-org-4.4.list
file for Ubuntu 18.04 (Bionic) via this command:
$ echo "deb [ arch=amd64,arm64 ] https://repo.mongodb.org/apt/ubuntu bionic/mongodb-org/4.4 multiverse" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mongodb-org-4.4.list
instead of Ubuntu 20.04 (Focal)
After that install mongodb-org:
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install -y mongodb-org
And start mongodb service:
$ sudo systemctl start mongod
